		<description>Thanks for the great reads.  I wonder what Pallotta would say about the gender facet you see fueling the situation he describes.

Another facet I see is that the people who work on the &quot;front lines&quot; tend to be undervalued and undersupported.  I see this within nonprofits and education and it fits my understanding of how businesses and the military work too.

Do you think nonprofits as a sector fall into the &quot;front lines&quot; category in the eyes of its donors (and workers), thus further justifying the pay levels?</description>
